The topic of this week’s lingerie chat was corsets…. This post is a summary of everything we chatted about:
Q1. What should you look when buying a corset?
@Lingerie_addict helped define a corset, “1st a corset must be strong enough to mould the figure. That’s what distinguishes it from traditional shapewear…That kind of moulding (which includes waist reduction & other things) necessitates strong fabrics; back lacing & steel boning…Finally a truly excellent corset must be fitted to the individual wearer. There are some good off-the-racks but best is custom…I don’t think there are any mainstream manufacturers selling what I would call a corset, and I’m including Agent Provocateur.”
@MagnifiqueBras answered, “You want to look at the construction of a corset. If wearing one for purpose of a corset, you don’t want a cheap one.”
